My Grandmother had a green thumb like no one I have ever seen. She could grow anything.

PINROSE:

Could you share a memory of a travel destination or a place (like home or elsewhere)...and what that memory SMELLS like?

LEAH:

I can remember the scents of my grandmother’s house very vividly. She was always cooking something wonderful. I can remember the scent of pancakes in the morning. I remember the summer scents were the best. We would pick and clean fresh fruits and vegetables, watermelons, blackberries, even green beans. All these scents send me right back to my childhood in the country discovering all these amazing treats. My grandmother had a green thumb like no one I have ever seen. She could grow anything. Other scents I remember were the tiger lilies & roses growing beside the house or how the whole yard smelled after my grandfather got done mowing. I think this is why these are some of my favorite scents in candles and perfumes. I have a lot of fond memories & love associated with the summer scents at my grandparent.
